Can I use my browser to FTP?
While it is possible with most browsers to FTP to a site, some versions only allow you to download files from a site. Most browsers only allow entry to anonymous ftp sites. You may access the Graphics-3 FTP site by entering the following address in your browser:

ftp://ftp.g3inc.com

The browser will display the documents at the site in a form that looks something like a directory listing for your computer. You can upload files to the site in many browser versions by dragging and dropping files from the desktop to the browser. Alternatively, after you've accessed an FTP site, your browser may allow you to choose the File|Upload File menu item.

How do I use FTP Software?

Most FTP software will require the user input a few basic values to be able to access a site.

Host Name - This is the address of the site. Sometimes this will be in the form of numbers such as 162.39.76.4. This set of numbers is called an IP Address. Sometimes it will be written as name "ftp.g3inc.com". To access the Graphics-3 public FTP you will simply enter "ftp.g3inc.com"

User ID - This is generally the name of the person or account. For accessing Graphics 3's public FTP you may leave this field blank.

Password - A password is required when logging on to private or special access FTP servers. Generally a password is not necessary if you are logging on to a public site. When accessing the Graphics-3 FTP leave this field blank.
