Doug Malott, Senior Art Director
I’ve always had 4 passions in life: art, sports, military history and my family. I grew up near Gettysburg, PA and love the battlefields, museums and artifacts, I should be a tour guide there since I’ve traveled and read so much about it.
My illustrious art career started by taking classes at the ripe old age of 6. After graduating from VCU I’ve had tours of advertising duty in D. C., Roanoke and Richmond. I’ve already had my 15 minutes of fame by winning a Clio. My favorite headline over the years in the business is - Advertising is a four letter word. Idea. Unfortunately today, ideas have been replaced by techno gadgets.
I played all the major sports including 12 years of baseball. The New York Yankees are my favorite team and there is not a more die-hard fan alive. I’ve been collecting sports memorabilia since I was a kid and my collection dates to the late 1800’s.
I’m married to a beautiful nurse and we have 2 great kids and 4 crazy cats. So, if you don’t like getting bored, put some passions in your life. It works.
